Obituary of Diane Simms
Diane Darling Simms, 73, of Tampa, passed away August 3, 2007 in Jensen Beach, FL. She was born August 23, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA.
She had been a resident of Tampa, FL for 37 years. Diane had worked in a variety of jobs throughtout her life, and was now retired. She was of the Protestant faith. She had been very active in volunteering her time combating illiteracy and victims of drug abuse. Diane was an avid Tampa Bay Buccaneer fan, and a loving friend to many.
She is survived by sons, Michael Simms of Palm City and Daniel Simms and his wife Cheryl of Hartsville, SC; four grandchildren, Jordan Schulz of Stuart, Madeline and Olivia Simms, both of Palm City, and Mac Simms of Hartsville, SC; and a brother, Hugh W. Darling and his wife Iris of Seward, AK.
A celebration service is scheduled for October 13, 2007 in Stuart, FL at the Treasure Coast Presbyterian Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL.
