Obituary of Diego Valbuena

Diego Arturo Valbuena, 23, of Port St. Lucie, died unexpectedly December 1, 2009 in Evans Mills, NY. Diego was born August 28, 1986 in Bogota, Colombia, and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 2001. He was a 2006 graduate of Centennial High School in Port St. Lucie. He was active duty in the U.S. Army and was based in Ft. Drum, NY. He recently returned from a tour in Iraq. He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie. Every life that Diego touchedhe left a mark.

He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Catherine Valbuena of Port St. Lucie, Parents, Fernando and Guertty Valbuena both of Port St. Lucie; brothers, Sergio Valbuena and his wife, Paola of Stuart and Esteban Felipe Valbuena of Port St. Lucie; sister, Natalia Valbuena of Port St. Lucie, grandmother, Anais Adela Martinez of Colombia, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be 4-8:00PM, Tuesday, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel, 2001 SW Murphy Rd, Palm City, FL 34990.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10AM, Wednesday, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1454 SW Mapp Road, Palm City.

Interment will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, with full Military Honors by the U.S. Army.
