Dolores E. Dombrowski of Palm City, formerly from Port St. Lucie, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2019 at the age of 90.  She is predeceased by her parents, Mae and Alfonse Grablun, and her beloved husband, Raymond S. Dombrowski.  She is survived by her three children:  Linda Simms (Dan), Raymond S. Dombrowski Jr. (Lucy), and Carol Dombrowski Ezzo (Paul).  Dolores is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

A loving mother and homemaker, Dolores took pride in caring for her husband and three children in the home.  She was an active participant in their educational and social activities from elementary school through their college years.  She emphasized reading and math skills to them and taught them a love of learning that still continues in their lives.  While Dolores nurtured her children and grandchildren, she also encouraged them to be independent thinkers and problem solvers.  Dolores worked as both a real estate broker and a teller for Barnett Bank.

Dolores loved planning and cooking meals for her family, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.  Birthdays were always a festive feast enjoyed by everyone.  She lovingly made family gatherings in her home special times for all to remember.

Our cherished mother loved bright colors, perhaps because these colors depicted her vibrant personality so well.  To honor her memory, some of our family members are choosing to wear brightly colored clothing to her visitation on Thursday, July 25 ^th 5pm to 7pm at Forest Hills Funeral Home Palm City, please feel free to do the same if you wish.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 26 ^th 10am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.

Interment will be later in the day at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale.
