Born into Eternal Life on January 1, 2019

Dolores Flocco, 85, of Palm City, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2019. She was born in the Bronx, NY and predeceased in death by her devoted husband, Leonard, in 2008. She had lived in Yonkers, NY and Summit, NJ and was a part-time resident of South Florida for many years before becoming a full-time resident of Palm City for the past 18 years. Dolores had been a legal secretary who retired to become a full-time mother upon the birth of her children. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and an active member and volunteer with their Women's Guild.

She is survived by daughters, RoseMarie Moschetta (Anthony) of Summit, NJ and Donna Palais (Mitchell) of Rye, NY; and grandchildren Robert (Ashley), Elizabeth (Christopher) and Benjamin. Also surviving are her loving sisters-in-law Rita Draetta, Elaine Maraglino (Mike) and brother-in-law Ernest Fusco (Fran).

Dolores embraced widowhood, and despite deeply missing Leonard, her husband of 52 years, honored his last wish that she learn how to drive at the age of 75 and enjoy life without him by her side. Dolores learned to play mah-jongg and became so proficient she taught others in her ever-widening circle of friends how to play. She spent endless hours researching anything under the sun on her iPad for her own personal edification or at the request of her friends. She also joined the Holy Redeemer Women's Guild and spent many happy hours volunteering with them and participating in and attending the many activities and functions they held throughout the years. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 6th from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Monday, January 7th at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled in New Jersey at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Dolores' name to Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church in appreciation for the mission and good works of their Women's Guild or to LAHIA (Love and Hope In Action) P.O. Box 1385, Port Salerno, FL 34992.
