Dolores M. Knauber Obituary

Dolores M. Knauber, 95, of Palm City, FL, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 14, 2024. Dolores will be missed by all who knew her.

She was born in Irvington, NJ to Thomas F. and Charlotte V. Jones on June 13, 1928. Dolores lived in Middlesex, NJ for 20 yrs before moving to Lebanon, NJ and then onto York, PA. In 1991 she retired and moved to Palm City. She enjoyed traveling and visited Russia, China, Japan, Morocco, Germany, Switzerland, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Egypt, Syria and Greece. She also enjoyed dancing, acting in local theater, and was a member of Sweet Adeline's a cappelo chorus for several years competing in competitions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She did jazzercise until the age of 91, went skydiving for the first time when she was 79 years old and again at 81 years old. Dolores was also president of the Lake Village HOA Board of Directors for a few years. She was smart, quick witted and a joy to know. She made friends wherever she went.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband August W. Knauber (1989), son Brian W. Browne (1986) and daughter Kristine A. Browne (2011). She is survived by her daughters Barbara Pierzakowski (Bruno), Jerri Skiles; step-daughters Elaine Clarke and Althea (Cookie) Reaves, her niece Alison Jones, nephew Thomas Jones, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Sunny.
