Domenic "Dom" Aloise a professional musician, drummer and vocalist in South Florida passed away on June 4, 2026, in Stuart, Florida. He was 72 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Dom was the son of Domenic and Teresa (Gidare) Aloise. He was raised in a family deeply rooted in music, as his father was a respected trumpeter and vocalist throughout New England, an influence that shaped Dom's musical path and lifelong love and dedication to his craft. Dom also worked for Lexus and Toyota as a service manager in the Northshore of Boston, Palm Beach and Toyota of Stuart for many years, where he made strong relationships with his co-workers and customers.
Dom grew up in Malden, Massachusetts and then moved to West Peabody with his family. He graduated from Malden High School. Dom studied drums privately under Mike Orlito of Malden School of Music and attended Franklin Institute of Technology and Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts. Dom started at a young age in the music and automotive field. Dom's first professional job as a drummer was at the age of 14 where he played drums for his father’s Big Band Dance Orchestra. From there he performed with the Livin' Sound, a general business and club scene band that played throughout New England from the 1960's through the 1980's. The Livin' Sound also spent several summers during the 1970's performing in well-known dance clubs on Cape Cod.
In the early 1980's Dom relocated to South Florida and performed in many of the elite venues such as the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Eden Roc, Doral Country Club and the Inverrary Vacation Resort. In 1990's through 2023 Dom worked in the Palm Beaches with Guy Scott and the Neal Smith Orchestra. He performed at many of the areas most prestigious venues, including the Everglades Club, The Breakers, Jupiter Island Club, and the Flagler Museum's Coconuts New Year's Eve events, as well as numerous private residences and social events.
Dom is survived by his two sons Domenic Aloise III, (Shannon), and Christopher Aloise, his grandchildren Nicholas, Juliana, Elias and Elise; his sisters Teresa Mandarano and her late husband Frank of Boynton, FL, Joanne Alunni and her husband Donald of Peabody, MA, Maria Goodwin and her husband Michael of North Reading, his brother Paul Aloise and his wife Ellen of Palm City FL, his Godmother Maria Aloise of Tewksbury, MA and many cousins, nephews, nieces and their children.
Over the last two and a half years, Dom made many great friendships with the residents and staff of Sodalis Senior Living of Stuart FL. where he was still able to show his talents as a drummer. Dom will be truly missed by his family and friends, as he touched many people over the years with his musicianship, generosity, warmth and kindness.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours at Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide Church in Peabody at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sodalis of Stuart Senior Living (Entertainment), Stuart FL or VITAS Healthcare of Port St Lucie, FL in his memory.
