Don E. Gates, 88, of Palm City, passed away January 26, 2020 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart.  He was born in Yukon, WV and had been a resident of Palm City for 3 years, having relocated from Dawsonville, GA.  Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He had been an accomplished cabinet maker before retirement.

He is survived by his son, Donald Gates (Kathy) of Palm City; grandchildren, Chad Gates, Craig Gates, Jason Gantt, Ben Blanton and Cortney Gates; sister, Annette Holcomb and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his former wives, Lorraine Gates and Ruby Gates.

Visitation:  10-11:00 AM, Thursday, January 30, 2020

Graveside service:  11:00 AM following visitation.
