Donald Levan North, 84, of Port St. Lucie, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Tradition Medical Center, Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Born in Shokan, New York, he had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for 21 years coming from Nettles Island, Jensen Beach, Florida where he resided for 9 years.

He was a graduate of Villanova University

He was a mechanical engineer with General Electric for 36 years.  While there, he was subcontracted to NASA and had worked on the Viking Orbiter.

He was a very active volunteer and supporter of the Treasure Coast Symphony and a member the Airstream Club.

Survivors include his wife, Gail D. North of Port St. Lucie; his daughters, Debra DiCicco and her husband Anthony of Philadelphia, PA and Laurie Katz of Greensboro, NC and N. Jacquelyne North  and her husband Martin McNeil of Strafford, PA; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial Service at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, Florida.
