Donald F. O'Reilly, 91, of Palm City, FL, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY he had been a resident of Palm City for over one year coming from Wells, Maine.

He retired after a long career in the U.S. Army attaining the rank Full Colonel, serving during World War II and Korean War. After retiring from the military he was a New York State parole officer.

He was of the Catholic Faith.

Survivors include his children, Patricia O'Reilly and Kathleen Gardell, both of Florida, Raymond O'Reilly of New Jersey, Theresa Hecker and Michael O'Reilly, both of New York, Mary Covington, Dennis O'Reilly and John T. O'Reilly all of Utah and Robert O'Reilly of California; sixteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and stepchildren, John Hopkins of Massachusetts, Marion Skogg of Oregon and Christopher Hopkins and Steven Hopkins both of Maine. He was preceded in death by his wives, Alene Ross O'Reilly Bruns and Marilyn Hopkins O'Reilly.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 5:00 PM with a service at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL.
