Donald R. Piper, 78, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 at his home.

Born in Rockville Center, NY, he had been a resident of Stuart for 20 years. He then moved to High Spring, FL and Trenton, FL, returning to Stuart a few months before his death..

During the Korean War he had served in the U.S. Navy.

Prior to retirement he was a building master mechanic with AT&T.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Piper of Stuart; his sons, Keith Piper and his wife Michele of Rincon, GA and Brian Piper of Stuart and his grandchildren, Kari Messer, Lisa Fortin, Sara Piper, Ryan Piper, Ava Fortin and Aubrey Earnest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Rose Marie Piper and his brother, Walter Piper Jr.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April2, 2016 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL with a service at 1:00 PM. Interment, with military honors will follow immediately in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
