Obituary of Donald Ricketts

Donald James Ricketts, 84, of Dunnellon, Florida, died October 2, 2008 at the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, West Palm Beach, FL.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he had been a resident of Dunnellon, FL for 18 year coming from Miami, FL. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. Before retiring he had been an aircraft mechanic with Eastern Airlines, where he was the shop steward with the International Airline Mechanics Union. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Ocala.

Survivors include a daughter Pearl Cushing of Sewalls Point, FL; sons Richard Ricketts of Boca Raton, FL and Ronald Ricketts of Arcadia, FL; a sister Helen Goller of Georgia and 10 grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
