Obituary

On the evening of June 30, 2022, Donna D. Kotula, passed onto her eternal home at the age of 86, after a short illness.

She was the daughter of James Donaldson and Geneva Hardy Donaldson. Donna was the wife of Bernard L. Kotula, who proceeded her in death.

She was the mother to and survived her four daughters: Kathleen J. Dammert, Kristine M. Kotula-Kintz, Karissaa L. Kotula- Landgrebe and Kellianne N. Kotula. A grandmother to Alisa Kintz, Dustin Kintz, Brittany Kintz, Rachel Landgrebe, Ashley Lardizzone, Meagan Lardizzone, Kayleigh Lardizzone, Bradley Petroni, Hailey Petroni, and Austin Petroni. A great grandmother to Clayton Phillips, Clara Wojcieszak and Colton Kintz.

Donna was born in Arkansas then traveled with her parents. After moving to Kentucky she attended boarding school, high school and received a band scholarship to Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in education. While at college she met and married her tall and handsome, basketball star, Bernie. They moved to Lowell, Indiana and she started her career as a teacher at Oak Hill Elementary School. She became a successful Avon Representative and an active member of St. Edwards Church. The family relocated to Palm City, Florida, where she lived until her death.

Donna enjoyed sewing, gardening, music and volunteering at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City, where they attended for many years. She taught CCD, made floral arrangements and sang in the choir.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held at The Grace Place Church, 1550 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 1:00 pm.

Visitation with the family will be in the foyer preceding the service from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm. A reception will follow in the foyer afterwards between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Kane Center, 900 SE Salerno Road, Stuart, "In Memory of Donna D. Kotula."
