Obituary of Doris Regier

Doris Starr Hicks Regier, 79, of Palm City, passed into God's arms on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Doris was born in Neptune, NJ, on July 24, 1935 to Marvin and Mary Beegle. She lived in Neptune City, New Jersey; Ft. Myers, Florida; Dania, Florida; Tucson, Arizona; Hollywood, Florida; and finally Stuart Florida.

During her lifetime, she worked for the phone company in New Jersey, banking, the U.S. Post Office, Center for the Blind and most recently at Burdine's.

Doris leaves behind her loving husband of 23 years, Lawrence G. Regier Sr., her children Raymond and Kathleen Hicks, and Douglas Hicks; step-children Lawrence Regier Jr., and Helen and Robert Trout; grandchildren Christopher Hicks, Sarah & Matthew Lauretta, Kimberly & David Pugliese, Andrew Hicks and Katie Hicks; Allison Duckett, Ashley Hawkins, Jacob Murphy. step-grandchildren Lawrence Regier III, Gary Regier, and Justin Davis; and great-grandchildren Zoie and Chloe Pugliese and Cillian Lauretta. Doris is also survived by her brother Marvin Beegle Jr. and his wife Cindy, who live in Tennessee; her sister Barbara Journeay and husband Jerry who live in California; and sister Kay Buis and husband Don who live in Michigan City, Indiana.

Doris has been an active member of the Stuart Alliance Church since 1980. The family will have a memorial service on Friday, February 13th at 4 p.m. at Stuart Alliance Church in Stuart.
