Dorothy D. Anderson, 100, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on January 24, 2018 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House, Stuart.

Born in Glenville, Georgia, she had been a Martin County resident for 82 years coming from Valdosta, Georgia.

Before retiring she was a manager for Southern Bell Telephone.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and had been the docent at the Stuart Heritage Museum for 20 years.

Survivors include her sons, William Dalton (Dale) Anderson Jr. and his wife Margaret of Palm City, FL and Robert Larry Anderson and his wife Carol of West End, NC; her daughter, Debra Anderson Sigafoose of Stuart; her sisters, Mary Frances Colson of Madison, FL and  Hilda Hubbard of Perry, GA; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband William Dalton Anderson Sr., her brothers, Bruce DeLoach, Lloyd DeLoach, Robert DeLoach and Wade DeLoach and her sister, Sybil Follet.

Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 PM on Monday, January 29, 2018, at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL with a funeral service will be at 2:30 PM in the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow immediately in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
