Dorothy F. Byrne, 89, of Port St Lucie, Florida passed away on June 14 at her home surrounded by members of her family.

She was born on March 4, 1932 in Maspeth, NY. later moving to Long Island. There she lived in East Norwich, Commack, and East Northport before moving to Port St. Lucie in 1987. She was passionate about her family and especially looked forward to the weekly Friday night at Mom's visits from her children.

She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Byrne and leaves behind seven children, Kevin Byrne, Michael Byrne, Steven Byrne, Tracy DePaola, Kathleen Oliver and James Byrne of Port St. Lucie, FL and John Byrne of Brentwood, N.Y. In addition, she leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as well as a member of Faith Congregational Church in Port St. Lucie,

Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 18th at Forest Hills Palm City Chapel, ( 2001 SW Murphy Rd ) Palm City, FL and again on Saturday, June 19th from noon until 2:00 p.m. at which time there will be a small funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dottie's honor to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to extend a special gratitude to the many caregivers who looked after our mother over the last few years.
