Dorothy Marie Drake, 95, from Fort Pierce, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 26, 2020 in Rockledge, Florida.  "Dottie" was the daughter of Floyd and Hazel Fulford and sister of Gwendolyn Fulford.  She was born on May 27, 1925 in Jackson, Michigan.

Dottie is survived by daughters Michelle (Ken) Hoff, Tamia (Tom) Rynning and son, Brent (Lynn) Drake, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.   She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, 1 nephew and 2 cousins.

Dottie graduated from Jackson High School, then worked as a Switchboard Operator before becoming a housewife and mother of three.  She was a member of numerous churches throughout her lifetime, where she sang in the choir, participated in Ladies functions and encouraged her children to be involved in various church youth group activities.  Dottie's focus was being a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, which she will always be admired and appreciated for.  Dottie was a wonderful cook, loved to read and play games, and enjoyed outings with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all her family and leaves us with many special memories of her witty sense of humor and endearing ways, but most of all, for her commitment to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dottie's interment will be at 11:15 AM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at Forest Hills Memorial Park and Palm City Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Hospital or American Cancer Society.
