Gibbons, Dorothy "Dot" age 86 of Palm City, Florida passed away peacefully at her home September 14, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.

Dorothy grew up in Prattville, Alabama and graduated from Autauga High School and attended Drone Business College to become a secretary. Once she graduated from college she accepted a job at Pratt & Whitney American Aerospace Manufacture which lead Dorothy and her husband Howard on an adventure of a lifetime to West Palm Beach, Florida eventually leading them to Palm City, Florida where they purchased their beautiful home on the Saint Lucie River and resided here for over 40 years. Dorothy had a love for all creatures great and small but especially her 3 cats Snickers, Sparkey and Little Buddy. She also had several raccoons, squirrels, and sand hill cranes that loved to visit. Dorothy also had a big heart when it came to people who were less fortunate than she was and she was generous to a fault.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Howard Gibbons, parents James Jefferson Wright and Wista Hampton Wright, brothers Leroy A. Wright Sr., James E. Wright and a sister Frances M. Langley.

Dorothy is survived by her brother Leonard E. Wright and his wife Kathryn and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed greatly.
