Dorothy McCarthy, 94, of Jensen Beach, FL, passed away on Wednesday August 12, 2020. She was born Dorothy Florence Fieser in Suffern, New York, on July 30, 1926.

Her parents were Charles and Wilhelmina Fieser. She was predeceased by her husband Daniel A. McCarthy.

She worked for the Midstate Telephone Company and Cazenovia College in Cazenovia prior to retirement. After moving to Florida in 1981, she enjoyed being a volunteer at the port Saint Lucie Hospital.

In their years in Florida they traveled and cruised extensively and enjoyed visits from family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by daughters Patricia (Patrick) Costello of Homestead, NC, and Donna (Ronald) Yackel of Manlius, her four grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

There are no calling hours, with a private family service to be held at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida at a later date.
