Obituary of Edmund Barclay

Edmund T. Barcaly, 90, of Stuart, died March 21, 2009 at the Martin Memorial Hospital South, Stuart.

Born in Mobile, Alabama, he had lived in Stuart for 35 years coming from Arlington, Virginia.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army Air Corp, attaining the rank of First Lieutenant. He had sung with the Army Air Corp Glee Club and had performed at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC.

Before retiring he had been executive with IBM for 37 years, which his family started.

He was a member of the Stuart Yacht and Country Club.

Survivors include a sister Dorothy Huse of Columbia, South Carolina and 2 nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Barclay.

Inurnment will be at a later date in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.

For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Community Care for the Port Saint Lucie Support Group, 800 Northpoint Parkway, Suite 101B, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, in Mr. Barclay's memory.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel.
