Obituary of Edna Pierce

Edna M. Pierce, 77, of West Palm Beach, Florida, died on August 6, 2012 at Good Samaritan Medical Center, West Palm Beach.

Born in Portsmouth, Ohio, she had been a resident of Martin County for 44 years coming from Louisville, Kentucky.

She was a school bus driver and aide with the Martin County Schools for many years. She was a licensed cosmetologist.

She was a member of Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church, Stuart, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Anna Miller Circle of the B.P.O. Elks, Stuart-Jensen Lodge 1870.

Survivors include sons, Howard E. Pierce of West Palm Beach and Doug Pierce of Stuart, Florida; brothers, James Wood of South Solon, Ohio, Floyd Wood and David Wood, both of Crossville, Tennessee and Raymond Wood of Niceville, Florida; sisters, Vesta Mae Alford of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, Mary Pike of Crossville and Linda Zabell of Columbia Falls, Montana and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Howard Pierce; brothers, Willis Wood, Donald Wood and Douglas Wood and a sister Janet Hannah.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on August 8, 2012 at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel with a service at 11:00 AM on August 9. Interment will follow in forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City
