Obituary of Edna Purdy
Edna M. Purdy, 98, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Summerville at Jensen Beach.
She was born February 1, 1910 in New Rochelle, NY, she has resided in Martin County since 1972 coming from West Palm Beach; she resided in Stuart and most recently moved to Jensen Beach three years ago.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stuart.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth R. Purdy of The Villages, FL; two grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Kenneth O. Purdy in October 2007.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospices, Inc., 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
Services: Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City with Pastor Philip Short and Pastor Jack Bridget officiating. Inurnment will be at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com.
