Obituary

Captain Edward Mallory Jackson, Sr, USAF (Retired), age 76, of
Stuart, Florida and formerly Sumter, South Carolina passed away
on December 1, 2024. Edward was born on October 28, 1948, in
Pensacola, FL and is survived by his beautiful wife Martha Jackson,
son Ted Jackson, son Kyle Jackson, 6 grandsons, 1 great
granddaughter and 1 great grandson.


He served valiantly during Vietnam and Desert Shield/Desert Storm
and retired honorably in 1995 while serving with the Ninth Air Force
at Shaw AFB near Sumter, South Carolina.


Edward was a member of Sumter First Church of the Nazarene where he attended faithfully
with his wife for 32 years. An avid hunter, though earning the nickname "sleepy" amongst
his fellow club members, he loved being in the woods with nature.
To honor him, visitation with his family and friends will be held at Forest Hills Funeral
Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL, 34990 on Tuesday, December 10th from 1pm-
4pm, with a memorial service at 3pm.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at
