Obituary of Edward Korpady
Edward A. Korpady died on Monday March 22, 2010 at Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 3, 1921, graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Civil Engineering, and entered the United States Navy in 1942 serving in both the Atlantic and the Pacific theatres of operation. Upon his release to inactive duty in June of 1946, he became active in his chosen field of engineering and retired as president of a large consulting and construction firm headquartered in Milwaukee in 1984 and became a resident of Florida.
During his business career, he was active in a number of business, social, and professional organizations. He was a Mason, a Shiner, and a member the Palm City Presbyterian Church of Stuart, Fl.
He is survived by his lovely wife Nancy of Port St Lucie, Fl. Also three sons from his first marriage, Alan of Goodletsville, Tn. Thomas of Madison, WI, Peter of Leesburg, VA, three grandchildren as well as his stepchildren Dr. and Mrs. Mark Edwards of Port St Lucie, Fl and Dr. and Mrs. Mark Barber of Jensen Beach, Fl.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on April 17, 2010 at Palm City Presbyterian Church, Palm City, Florida
