Obituary of Edward McGowan, Jr.

Edward F. McGowan Jr., 83, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the Hospice of Palm Beach County, West Palm Beach, FL.

Born in Taunton, MA, he had been a resident of Stuart for 20 years coming from Connecticut.

Prior to retiring he was a salesman in the insulation industry. He was a Master Gardener of Martin County, Stuart, FL.

Survivors include his daughters, Kathy Klein and her husband, Gary of Palm Beach Shores, FL, Kim Whitworth and Karen Norton and her husband Jack all of Deerfield Beach, FL and Elaine McGowan and her husband Tim Prewitt of Glastonbury, CT; his sons Timothy McGowan and his wife Debra of Hingham, MA and Stephen McGowan of Fort Lauderdale, FL; his brother, Michael McGowan of New Jersey and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn McGowan in 2001.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City, FL. Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City. An online registry is available at: www.foresthillspalmcityflorida.com.
