Obituary of Edward Morris
Edward J. Morris, 89, of Palm City, Florida, died September 30, 2008 at Waters Edge at Sandhill Cove, Palm City.
Born in Page City, Iowa, he had been a resident of Palm City for 12 years coming from Indialantic, Florida.
Before retiring he was an engineer with Continental Grain Corp in Port Chester, New York and Columbus, OH.
He was a Mason and a Shriner and a member of Melbourne, Florida Elks Lodge 1744, First Christian Church, Melbourne and Faith Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, Palm City
Survivors include sons, Daniel and David, both of Sewalls Point and James of Wilmington, North Carolina; sisters, Dorothy Lund of Bellevue, Nebraska and Judy Rae Parrish and brother John, both of Vancouver, Washington; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jean Morris.
SERVICES: There will be a memorial service, at 3:00 PM, October 21, 2008 at the Pavilion at Sand Hill Cove, Palm City.
For those who wish, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607-1460, or at www.shrinershq.org/Hospital/ in Mr. Morriss memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Forest Hills Funeral Homes Palm City Chapel.
