Obituary of Edwin Connor
Edwin C. "Mickey" Connor. 93, of Hobe Sound, FL, passed away on August 30, 2015 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House, Stuart, FL.
Born in Buffalo, NY, he had been a resident of Hobe Sound, FL 30 years coming from his birthplace.
During World War II he was a Navy fighter pilot, flying, F6Fs, F80s and the Hellcat. He was shot down, but survived to serve in the Naval Reserve for 25 years.
Prior to retirement he was a supervisor with New York Telephone. While with New York Telephone he was sent to Iran to install communications systems.
He was an avid golfer and sunk two hole in ones.
Survivors include his daughter, Candee Connor and her partner, Ernie Leeb of Stuart; his daughter-in-law, Helen Connor of Palm City, FL; his grand daughter, Aimee French and family and his friend, Jane Healy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Connor in 1993; his son Lance Connor and a grandson, Aaron Connor.
