Obituary of Edwin Pyke
Edwin F. Pyke, 82, of Port St. Lucie, died May 17, 2012 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1993, having moved from New Jersey. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps. He had been a photo engraver for 42 years, and retired from Horan Engraving in New York City. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
He is survived by his sons, Robert Pyke of N. Brunswick, NJ and Brian Pyke of S. Brunswick, NJ; daughters, Celia Mondelli of Charlotte, NC, Cathleen Pyke of Dallas, TX, Patricia Cabibbo of Boone, NC and Mary Ann Van Vonno of Boca Raton; brother, Richard Werdann of Brewster, NY; sister, Patti Werdann-Koch of Allentown, PA; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Visitation: 10:00 AM - 12:00PM, Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00AM, May 21, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Palm City
Interment will be held at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, with Military Honors by the Marine Corps at 12:45PM, Monday, May 21, 2012.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Edwin's memory.
