Obituary of Elaine Brown

Elaine Brown, 85, of Port St. Lucie, passed away April 9, 2008 at the Life Care Center in Port St. Lucie. She was born January 15, 1923 in Cuba. Elaine left Cuba as a small child and moved to Jamaica. In 1961 she moved to England and in 1967 she immigrated to the United States. She has been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1990, moving from New York City, NY. She has been a nursing assistant at Chelsea Hospital for Women and Doctors Hospital, both in New York before retirement. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie.

She is survived by her sons, Granville Webber and Robert Brown, both of Port St. Lucie and Phillip Brown of Hialeah; her daughters, Beverly Crews of Port St. Lucie, and Lisa Brown of West Hartford, CT; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Barron Brown.

A visitation will be held 6 PM to 8 PM, Friday, May 2, 2008 at Central Baptist Church, Port St. Lucie.

A funeral service will be 1 PM, Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Central Baptist Church.

Interment will follow immediately at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
