Elaine Stokes, 80, of Loxahatchee, went home to be with our Lord on March 1, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Preston, MS and was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Albert Gene Stokes; her parents, Elmer Warren and Earlene Goodin Warren and brother, J.C. Warren.

Elaine was a devoted wife, wonderful mother and beloved grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Michael) Ewing; son, Craig (Lucie) Stokes; grandchildren, Derrick (Jamey) Stiller, Mark (Kim) Stiller, Craig, Sean, Kari Stokes and Kyle Ewing; great-grandchildren, Derrick, Avery and Judson Stiller; Peyton and Carsyn Stiller; sister, Esterlene Sullivan and husband Royce; and a host of family and friends whom she dearly loved.

She counted it her greatest joy to be a wife and mother unselfishly committed to caring for her family. She worked side by side with her husband of 33 years in order to ease his burden of farming while raising two children and opening her heart and her home to their friends Gail and Ricky.

Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City
