Obituary of Elizabeth Seams

Elizabeth Planeta Seams, (Betty) 75, of Ft. Pierce, died February 6, 2014 at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center in Ft. Pierce. She was born in Middletown, CT and was raised in Cromwell, CT. She had been a resident of the Treasure Coast for several years, formerly of Rogersville, TN and Lake Hayward, CT. Not only was she a loving Mother, Wife and Friend, she was very active and loved very much in her Rogersville, TN as well as Lake Hayward, CT communities. She had been a seamstress before retiring.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Duane Charles Seams Sr.of Ft. Pierce; son, Christopher Charles Seams (Rosa) of San Antonio, TX and grandchildren, Ray and Jordan Seams; son, Duane Charles Seams Jr. (Donna) of Ft. Pierce and step-grandson, Kyle Kurth; daughter, Mary-Beth Merendino of Ft. Pierce and grandchildren, Tyler and T.J. Merendino; brother, William Planeta (Sandy) of E. Haddam, CT and sister-in-law, Marilyn Seams of White Bear Lake, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Josephine Planeta.

Memorial Service: Thursday February 13th at 11:00am at Saint Anastasia Catholic Church, 407 South 33rd St, Ft Pierce FL 34947 with a gathering of friends and family to follow at 1:00pm at the club house of Spanish Lakes Country Club, 1 Las Casitas Fort Pierce Fl 34951 (Kings Hwy/Turnpike Feeder Rd.) (772) 201-0348.

Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
