Obituary of Ellen McGowen

Ellen G. McGowen, 80, of Palm City, FL, died May 3, 2009 at her home.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, she had lived in Hobe Sound and Palm City, Florida for over 20 years coming from Delray Beach, Florida. She was a Florida resident for over 40 years.

She had been the store manager of Bagatelle, on Worth Avenue, Palm Beach and Gattle's Bed & Bath, Stuart. She was the President of McGowen Displays Inc., West Palm Beach.

She was a member of the Evergreen Country Club, Palm City and the Connestee Falls Country Club, Brevard, North Carolina.

Survivors include husband Neil A. McGowen of Palm City; sons Michael B. McGowen of Atlanta, Georgia, Barry D. McGowen, Patrick S. McGowen and Neil Andrew McGowen al of West Palm Beach and a daughter, Amy McGowen of Jupiter, Florida; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by sons, Brian L. McGowen, Bruce A. McGowen and Blake N. McGowen.

SERVICES: There will be a memorial Service at 2:00 PM on May 16, 2009 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel.
