ELMER MILTON DONOR
On March 22, 2022 Elmer M Donor passed away at the age of 94 at his home in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Elmer was born on July 24, 1927 in Erie County, PA to Elsie and Earl Donor. After graduating from Strong Vincent High School in 1945 he joined the US Army and was stationed in Texas and New Mexico as a photographer. While working with the Army engineers in Los Alamo he worked in the photo lab during the Atomic Project. After serving his country he returned to Erie, PA to start his own business as a Commercial and Industrial photographer for 41 years.
On returning back to Erie, PA Elmer met and married Mildred Proctor on July 28, 1951. He is survived by his wife of 70 years and two children, Cathy Park Resinger (Ric) and Gary Donor. They have four grandchildren John Park (Dawn), Melissa Park Shearer (Chris), Cheryl Donor Allen (Jud), and Darlene Donor Benham (Colby). They also have twelve great-grandchildren. Elmer's only brother Harold is deceased along with his son-in-law John Park, Jr.
After retiring, Elmer and Millie moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida where they still reside. Elmer loved sailing on his sailboat on Lake Erie and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed golfing and was always taking pictures of his family and friends. Elmer will be missed by his family and friends; especially his humor and one liners.
Elmer will be placed in Forest Hill Palm City Memorial Park in Palm City, Florida. There will be no memorial service but the immediate family will have a Celebration of Life in honor of Elmer. A special thank you to Treasure Coast Hospice.
