Obituary of Emmie Hardy

Emmie Maude Hardy, 95, went home to be with the Lord January 1, 2008, in Pineview, Georgia. Maude was born 4-10-1912 in Wilcox County, Georgia to the late Minnie Lue Greta and Cornelius Franklin Brown. She spent most of her life in South Florida as a homemaker, wife and mother. She is survived by one son, Franklin E. Hardy Sr (Thelma) of Lake Park, GA, two grandsons, Franklin E. Hardy Jr (Tina) of Raleigh, NC, and Matthew Thomas Hardy of Orlando, FL, one sister, Bernice Benitez of Pineview, GA, two step grandsons, Larry Barnes (Sandra) of Orlando, FL and Joe Barnes (Letecia) of Pompano Beach, FL, six step grandchildren and one step great, great grandson and a number of nieces and nephews.

Maude was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Eugene Hardy, brothers, Robert Brown, Richard Brown Sr and Carliss Brown, sisters, Flora Peavy, Ola Jones, Jewell Hamlin, and Lola Sumner.
