Erminio Del Ponte, 87, of Port St. Lucie, passed away March 3, 2017.

He was born in Ponza, Italy. He was a Marine in Italy. He immigrated to the United States settling in New York. He relocated to Port St. Lucie from New York in 2000. Erminio was a construction worker, and later in life had worked in housekeeping in New York hospitals and a synagogue. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Francesca Del Ponte of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Giuseppina Davis (Gary) of Port St. Lucie; son, Silvio Del Ponte (Linda) of Long Island, NY; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Lucia Vitiello of Italy and Libby Del Ponte of Yonkers, NY and brother, Benito Del Ponte of Italy. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visitation: 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City Chapel.

Mass of Christian Burial: 11:30 AM, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.

Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
