Obituary of Esko Paavola

Esko E. Paavola, 74, of Stuart, FL, died April 22, 2014 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House, Stuart, FL. He was born in Finland and he had been a resident of Stuart for 36 years coming from Sound Beach, NY.

He was a veteran of the Finnish Navy.

Before retiring, he had been partners with his brother, Veli, in their company, Paavola Brothers Construction, Inc. in Stuart for over 25 years. He enjoyed vacationing in Finland at his summer home in Kalajoki, reading, fishing, taking walks, and spending time with friends and family on both sides of the ocean.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Eva Paavola of Stuart; his daughter, Hellen Harvey and her husband Jerry Jr. of Palm City, FL and grandsons, Jacob and Jeret Harvey of Palm City. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eero Paavola, Veli Paavola and Tuevo Paavola.

SERVICES: Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Bethel Lutheran Church, 7905 S.E. Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL with a service at 12:00 PM.
