Eugene C. Hartnell. 91, of Stuart, FL, passed away on September 30, 2016 at his home.

Born in Queens, NY, he had been a resident of Stuart for 33 years coming from New York.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Air Force.

Before retiring he was a truck driver.

Survivors include his sons, Eugene C. Hartnell, Jr. of Lawrence, NY and Ronald Hartnell and his wife Maureen of Fuquay Varina, NC; his granddaughter, Elizabeth Hartnell and his great grandson, Robert DiGiacomo. He was preceded in death by his wife Hazel Hartnell in 2014.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at the Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City, FL. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow immediately in the Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
