Obituary of Florence Hoppe

Florence Mae "Todin" Harthun Hoppe, 82, of Palm City, FL, died February 7, 2011 at her home.

Born in Wautoma, WI, she had been a resident of Palm City for over 15 years coming from Park Forest, IL. Before retiring she had been a registered nurse for over 48 years. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She was a member Park Forest Nurses Club and had volunteered at health clinics in Park Forest. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was a former member of St. Lawrence O'Toole Catholic Church, Matteson, IL. Survivors include her husband Robert H. Hoppe of Palm City; sons, Kevin Harthun of Caon City, CO, Todd Harthun and his wife Linda of Fair Oaks, CA and Jon Harthun and his wife Tina of Leesburg, VA; daughters, Anne Sartwell and her husband Ed of Ellaville, GA, Alison Bowers and her husband Gene of Parker, CO, Caron Swindall of Mineral Point, Wisconsin, Teresa Kunin and her husband Dennis of Atlantis, FL and Erin Harthun of Denver CO; sisters, Mary Ellen Shick of Portland, OR and Kathleen Randall and her husband Gaither of Sun City West, AZ; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her first husband Kenneth C. Harthun in 1985 and a brother, John Fitzpatrick. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 PM on February 12, 2011 at Forest Hills Funeral Home - Palm City Chapel with a funeral service at 6:30 PM.
