Obituary of Florence Whalen
Florence C. Whalen, 82, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she moved to Palm City in 1987 from Lakeland, FL.
A member of the Roman Catholic faith, she attended Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart.
Loving Mother of sons, Michael Whalen of Palm City; Dennis Whalen, of Palm City; William Whalen of Homestead; Kevin Whalen of Lakeland and daughter, Patricia Marshall of Vero Beach; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Whalen.
Services: Calling hours will be 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM and 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City with a vigil service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM, Thursday, May 22, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart. Burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Home. A guest registry may be signed at www.foresthillsfunerals.com
