Obituary of Floretta Durkin
Floretta "Rita" Durkin, 82 of Palm City, died November 17, 2012 at Martin Medical Center in Stuart. She was born in New York, NY, and had been a winter resident of Palm City from 2001 - 2004, and became a full-time resident in 2004. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James Durkin of Palm City; son, James J. Durkin Jr. of Port Richey; daughter, Barbara Ann Collins of Ashville, NC; son, Christopher Durkin of Atlanta, GA; and her brother, Patrick J. McCarthy of Santa Barbara, CA. She was preceded in death by her brother, Father John McCarthy S.J.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00PM, November 19, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00AM, November 20, 2012 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
