Obituary of Floyd Foster
Floyd "Red" D. Foster, 93, of Palm City, died February 12, 2009 at his residence. He was born in Pickford, MI, and had been a resident of Palm City for 22 years, having moved here from Pontiac, MI. He had attended Wittenberg College in Springfield, OH, and was a merchant marine during WWII. Floyd was a supervisor for General Motors, trucking and coach division before retirement. He was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and Evergreen Country Club.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeanette Foster of Palm City; a son, Stephen Foster of Pontiac, MI; a daughter, Regina Dolsen of Mt. Prospect, IL; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Bill and a daughter, Susan.
Visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00PM Sunday, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel, with a prayer service at 2:00PM.
A mass of Christian burial will be 10:00AM Monday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Palm City.
