Obituary of Forrest Watkins
Forrest "Woody" Watkins, 90, of Port St. Lucie died December 14, 2012 at his home.
Born in Fairburn, GA, he had been a resident of the Treasure Coast for 21 years.
He was a graduate of Georgia Southwestern College, Practical Bible Training School, Mississippi College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Before retiring, he served as Pastor and Interim Pastor at multiple churches in the Treasure Coast area and for many years served as Chaplain for Mosley & Son Construction. Woody's entire life was devoted to Christian service and Ministry.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Marian "Tim" Watkins as well as 3 brothers and 1 sister; Reese Watkins, John Watkins, Yancey Watkins and Ruth Holemon.
Survivors include two brothers, Thomas I. Watkins of Sarasota, FL and Howard Watkins of Plantation, FL as well as two daughters Faith Houston of Conway, AR and Hope W. Walker of Port St. Lucie, FL and six grandchildren.
Services: A private burial will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City, FL with a Celebration of his life at North Stuart Baptist Church on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10:00am.
