Obituary

Frances Eunice Lukas of Stuart Florida, a beautiful Irish woman, has gone to be with her Savior and reunited with her husband, Eugene, on January 30, 2018. The world has lost a great woman.  She spent most of her younger years growing up in boarding school.  She graduated from St. Elizabeth College in New York.  All Frances wanted to do was get married and raise a family. By the age of 88, her wishes were granted with Six children, 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.  From her birth in New York, on May 28, 1929 to her death, Frances touched all those who came to know her.

The start of her life in Florida was 1972 in Jensen Beach.  Frances spent the next 44 years volunteering and making a difference in our community:
CCD teacher at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Elliot Museum, Blake Library, Martin Memorial Thrift Store, Martin Memorial Gift Shop (North Hospital), Jensen Beach Elementary School, Fairlawn Elementary School, Meal on Wheels, and years of coaching softball at Langford Park in Jensen Beach.  She was "mom" to many of her childrens'  friends and touched more lives than she realized.  She loved all of her children and cherished all of her friendships.   Frances loved her St. Martin and St. Joseph communities.  Mom's last few years were spent at Solaris making new friendships with staff and residents.
Let us not say "good-bye", instead "hello" to a beautiful angel who is watching over your shoulder.  Services will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City Florida at 11am on Saturday, February 10, 2018 . Family and Friends...please come and celebrate the wonderful life of Frances E Lukas.
