Frances Valla Menegus

Frances Valla Menegus, 84, passed away suddenly on September 5, 2021 at Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart, Florida.

Born in Torrington CT, she is survived by her daughter Kara M. Rizzo, son-in-law Tom, grandson John McInally of Phoenixville PA, step-grandchildren Kathryn and Zachary Rizzo, several nieces, nephews and Tucker and Sanders, her two grand cats.

Fran was predeceased by her husband Angelo of 59 years, infant daughter Gianna, parents John and Anna Valla and sister Lorraine Sylvernale.

Fran worked as a beautician at Cortlandt Nursing Care Center in Peekskill NY and as a tax preparer for H&R Block in NY and FL for 25+ years.

Fran always considered her close friends as family.  In addition to the comradery, they provided a phenomenal support system.  Fran was active with her local library, gym and Silver Sneakers.  Fran also enjoyed reading, playing on her iPad and practicing yoga.

Donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN   38105.

A private ceremony will be held in Palm City FL and she will be buried with her husband Ange in Torrington CT.
