IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances Valerie
St. Lawrence
May 4, 1946 – December 29, 2025
PALM CITY, FL – Frances "Fran" Valerie St. Lawrence, 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 29, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur St. Lawrence, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage until his passing in 2021.
Born in Providence, Fran was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and Rhode Island Community College. Her life was defined by her Catholic faith and her unwavering passion for caring for others. She worked as an Operating Room Technician and dedicated many years teaching children with disabilities.
Fran and Arthur's greatest joy came when they adopted their daughter, Maria. Fran dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mother, raising Maria with unconditional love. They later moved to Florida, eventually settling in Palm City to be close to Maria and her family.
To her granddaughters, she was a constant presence, never missing a sporting event, school function or milestone. She was loved by the girls more than anything. Fran spent her last seven months at The Brennity, where she found great joy in making new friends.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Maria Baxter, beloved son-in-law, Matt, of Palm City, FL; her cherished granddaughters, Sophia and Olivia; her sister and best friend, Maria Latina of Bonita Springs, FL.; a list of dear friends and relatives, whom she spoke to regularly; and her two favorite pups, Bella & Bandit.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew Catholic Church, Stuart, FL.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Dr., Cranston, RI. Burial will follow immediately at St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
