Obituary of Frances Taheri

Frances Taheri, 86 of Boca Raton, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at her daughter's home in Palm City.

Born in Iran, she came to the United States in 1950 at the age of 23 and was a resident of Bay City, Michigan for 35 years before relocating to South Florida. She was an avid tennis player, passionate hiker, and devoted animal lover. She was a trusted friend to many and the shining light of her adoring family. With her beloved husband she traveled to the far reaches of the earth, including the North Pole, Antarctica & Mongolia.

Survivors include her husband Dr. Zia E. Taheri; daughters, Mina Taheri (Edward Miller) of Palm City and Linda Woodworth (Paul Morel) of Ann Arbor, MI; a son, David Taheri (Claire) of Nevada City, CA and two grandchildren, Samuel Woodworth of Washington, DC and Abigail Woodworth of San Francisco, CA.

Services were private and burial was in Forest Hill Memorial Park, Palm City.
