Obituary of Francis Stapleton
Francis J. Stapleton, 84, of Palm City, passed away February 17, 2007 at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. He was born February 24, 1922 in Bronx, NY. He had been a resident of Palm City for over 25 years, moving from Chappaqua, NY. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII. He was a CEO in the publishing industry before retirement. He was a former member of Martin Downs Country Club, and attended Palm City Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Gloria H. Stapleton of Palm City; sons, Dr. Francis J. Stapleton, of Pleasantville, NY, and Joseph T. Ott of Shohola, PA; daughter, Virginia E. Stack of W. Kingston, RI and four grandsons.
Visitation will be 2:00 4:00 PM and 6:00 8:00 PM, Monday, February 19th, at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20th, at Forest Hills Funeral Home, Chapel, with Rev. Dr. Raymond Gamble officiating.
Entombment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
