Frank Goldie
Boulton
Aug 14, 1934 — Jan 11, 2020
Stuart
Frank G. Boulton, 85, of Stuart, passed away January 11, 2020. He was born in Markham, Ontario, Canada on August 14, 1934. He and his young family relocated to the United States in 1967. He lived the last 3 years in Stuart, and formerly lived in Fort Collins, CO, Atlanta, GA and Miami, FL where he resided most of his adult life. He was an engineer by trade, a 1957 graduate of the Henry Ford Trade School in Windsor, Ontario. After working for various car manufacturers in Canada, he moved to the states and started a Nissan dealership in North Miami, FL. He became one of the largest Nissan dealers in the state, along with having a Lotus franchise and Volkswagen dealership for many years. An avid English car buff, he also carried smaller boutique car lines at times including; Jensen, Panther and TVR. Frank was a leader in the automotive industry and chaired the South Florida Auto Dealer Association and the Miami Auto Show. Frank was well known amongst his peers as a gentleman in the business world, and he was a friendly face to customers, employees and the community. He was also an active member in the National Auto Dealer Association. Over the years he received many awards and accolades for business leadership, community support and recognition in the automotive industry. From the time he was a young boy, Frank had a great love of cars, knowing even then, that his life would center around automobiles. Those who knew him would say that he was always able to turn any conversation into talking about cars, it was just a matter of time. The only thing that rivaled his love of cars was his love of family. There was nothing that would bring a broader smile on his face than being with family members and sharing in fun together. The best situation was family together while enjoying cars with him, at an Auto Show, visiting a car museum, test driving a new vehicle or attending a car race. He was a loyal friend and always shared of himself generously with those around him.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gwenyth (Forrester) Boulton of Stuart; daughters, Katherine Luger of Stuart, FL and Sandra "Sandy" Boulton (Sherry) of Madeira Beach, FL; sons, Richard "Rick" Boulton (Laura) of Fort Collins, CO and Michael Boulton (Amy) of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Eric, Evan, Josh, Isabella, Mari, Ben, Sara, Eli, Sophia and Greyson and a great grandchild, Brayden. Sister in law, Anne (Forrester) Westervelt (Jim), in laws Paul Luger, Charity Quattlebaum Boulton and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jessie Bartley, Douglas "Bus" Boulton and Gordon Boulton. Always enjoying visiting with friends and family, he would part ways with others by saying "bye for now". His family and friends all wish him those 3 sweet words now and will miss him terribly.
