Obituary of Frank Gencsy
Frank Gencsy, 78, of Port St. Lucie, FL, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the St. Lucie Medical Center, Port St. Lucie.
Born in Carteret, NJ, he was a resident of Port St. Lucie for 16 years coming from Iselin, NJ.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy.
Before retiring he worked for the New York Times for 30 years and was the delivery supervisor.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Rae Gencsy of Port St. Lucie; his children, Keith Madorma and his wife Denise of Monroe, NJ, Kim DiPaolo and her husband Tom of Howell, NJ, Kelli Chitty and her husband David of Wall Township, NJ, Kevin Gencsy and Julie of Hazlet, NJ, Sean Gencsy and his wife Kim of Woodstock, GA and Dennis Deo and his wife Jen of Matawan, NJ; his sister Marge Gaveltz and her husband Gene of Manchester, NJ; his brother, Alfie Taveres and his wife Anna of Philadelphia, PA; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the Forest Hills Funeral Home, Palm City, FL. There will be a Vigil Prayer service at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church followed by Military Honors provided by the US Navy.
