IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Charles
Montagne, Sr.
October 16, 1931 – September 1, 2025
Frank Charles Montagne, 93, passed away on September 1, 2025.
He was born on October 16, 1931, and raised in North Bergen, New Jersey, where he lived for over 40 years. It was there he married the love of his life, Anne Catherine Montagne.
Frank and Anne later moved to Shark River Hills, New Jersey, where they spent 25 wonderful years before retiring to Florida, living in both Vero Beach and Palm City for another 25+ years.
A proud Korean War veteran, Frank served overseas in the United States Army. Following his military service, he joined the North Bergen Fire Department, where he served as Fire Captain—fondly known as "Captain Fish"—for 32 years.
Frank had a deep passion for fishing, especially fluke fishing, and he was truly skilled at it. But above all, his greatest love and joy was his wife, Anne, with whom he shared 60 beautiful years. Together, they enjoyed long walks, traveling to Florida as snowbirds, and eventually settling there permanently.
Frank is survived by his children, Cheryl and her husband Terry Weinshank, and Frank and his wife Mary Montagne; his grandsons, Frank and Anthony; Frank's wife Dana Montagne; and his great-grandchildren, Frank and Emma Montagne.
Frank was a cherished father figure whose warmth and positivity touched everyone around him. Known as the life of the party, he had a unique ability to bring joy and laughter to any room. His genuine kindness and uplifting spirit made him a beloved presence in the lives of his family and friends.
Frank's legacy is one of love, happiness, and the priceless gift of making others feel valued and celebrated. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the light he brought to so many lives. We will carry his memory with us always, feeling his presence in every smile, every decision, and every meaningful moment.
Thank you, Dad, for the endless love and sacrifices you made. We will love you forever and miss you beyond words.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church (1454 SW Mapp Rd, Palm City, Florida), in the chapel. A graveside service will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park (2011 SW Murphy Rd, Palm City, Florida).
