Obituary of Frank Zavecz
Frank Zavecz, 84, died Monday, August 20, 2007 at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie.
Born in Hungary, he moved to Brazil after World War II and later to the United States. He moved to Port St. Lucie in 2005 from Stuart and had resided on the Treasure Coast since 1979, moving here from Chicago, IL.
He has served under the Hungarian and Austrian King during World War II.
He was retired as owner of Franks Shoe Repair Shop in Fort Pierce and Stuart.
He was of the Roman Catholic faith.
Survivors include his sisters, Maria Talaber of Brazil and Ilona Koszar of Port St. Lucie; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Aprad and Attila; and brother, Joseph Zavecz.
Services: Calling hours will be 9 AM to 11 AM, Friday, August 24, 2007 at Forest Hills Funeral Home in Palm City with funeral services will be held at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park.
